Seeing as the WTCC is low on manufacturers, Lotti will probably give them a waiver for a FWD or RWD Impreza. I'm quite exicted to see Subaru join. Something new for them.

Lada has new Granta Cup with cars equipped with 1,6 T engines. But horsepower is about 200 hp. So, it's only a domestic level.

about 1980 even audi won lots rally then they decided to pass in the touring car before in DTM before in D2 series.
after won every championship of the touring car they passed to endurance. and they won again. then they decided to race again DTM and they won! if subaru will decide to enter in the wtcc it will be the welcome and it is not already written that they will failed. in my opinion i continue to believe that the FIA should allow to the manufactures to enter in the championship using a model of a specific segment. 4 example SEAT LEON and VOLVO C30 dont belong to the same segment of BMW 320 and CHEVROLET CRUIZE. volvo should use S40 (that has been already used in the touring) while the seat should develop the EXEO. the same should make also the new manufacture that are thinking to come in the touring series. subaru should run with the model LEGACY, ford with the MONDEO and eventually honda with the ACCORD. this would be e real World Touring Car Championship. |

As for Prioras there were rumours about participation in RTCC, TMS company even had some advertising of that cars, saying they could build some new chassis if I remember correct. But now TMS is concentrated on that monoseries that is going to be of an amateur level, being run aside from RTCC but with Legends cup.

The lack of manufacturers is holding the wtcc back, I sure hope there are new entrants soon for the competition's sake.
