sergei afanasiev hasn't got his visa sorted for the donington round yet, according to twitter. not a great start to the weekend!

wonder if tambay might return to the unofficial fr3.5 guest drive at pons for the rest of the season instead.

I would have thought Hartley might be the top contender for the Pons seat if Charouz / Gravity is pulling out of FR 3.5. I find Hartley vastly overrated, but I'm disappointed for him if his team has dropped out.

Back on topic - Carroll takes pole position in Donington! It's good to see him to well. Hopefully this additional profile will help him seal an Indycar seat (or better?) next year.

Eurosport have treated Auto GP very poorly. I'm surprised they haven't even shown repeats through the week.

I think race 2 is live on the HD channel though.

there is Tour De France on one channel and Motogp on the other therefore no room to show the race.

Who cares about watching wtcc qualifying anyway? They could use that slot to show delayed coverage!

WTCC fans! we be one car less on the grid for the sunday race as (I normally say this in the motogp threads about injurys) Onidi had injured his right hand.

well at least you got one race live this weekend (the Saturday race) - Filpli who will be busy at GP2 but will be back for the next race in Spain

British Eurosport showing some live Auto GP? Wonders will never cease!

The vastly more important GP2 however once again loses out. Quite why those ****heads feel the need to prioritise some joke minority sport called "beach soccer" and a mere qualifying session for the World Superbikes however is beyond me. I wish a professional channel (which ES isn't) who can do GP2 justice would pick it up, and hopefully take the excellent Martin Haven with them.

According to Autosport Lancaster injured his ankle while training for a triathlon. And it appears they never lined up a stand-in for Filippi. Two of the strongest cars down isn't good at all for a series already low on numbers, but at least it's only temporary.

Other driver changes this weekend are Kevin Korjus in at DAMS (in place of Haryanto who's doing GP3) and Adrien Tambay in at Campos (replacing Adam Carroll who's on GP2 duty).

Hmmm. Especially frustrating in light of the ad on Autosport which says that all Auto GP races are live on Eurosport!
