Alba Group C cars
Hi, as somebody who spends way too much time looking at C car histories, I'm trying to track down how many of the Alba Group C and IMSA cars are still in existence. Can anybody help? I see AR2-001 has reappeared recently at the Spa historic event and AR3-002 has come up for sale a few times (and AR8-001 still looks great in the US) but the rest seem to be off the radar at the moment.
Has anyone come across an Alba in a museum or private colection over the years? Cheers |

It seems that these cars are even better hidden than I expected lol. Seriously, I understand that a one or more cars were converted to Imsa's open-topped WSC category after the demise of the GpC/GTP era - does anyone know anything about these?
It seems likely that some of the cars, though given different designations over the years, were actually revisions of earlier cars utilising the same basic chassis (like the Spice cars). It makes if difficult to work out how many were made. Also, anyone know of any magazine track tests/features as there seems to have been little published in the UK press. Geoff |
