Are we talking 2000 or 2002? 2000, it was Ruben's MAIDEN year in Ferrari, no? You are being rather unreasonable to say that Ferrari SHOULD have known better.
2002, we've seen Ruben pulled away right from the starts many times. Unfortunately, he DNFed quite a bit and thus was no longer a decent challenge for the WDC, from Ferrari's perspective.
