OVERSTEER should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Stevie Hodgson

I've just seen the latest Rockingham Motorspeedway round of the ASCAR series, and i've come to be sick of Hodgson's problem's he has with anyone who seems to want to race him, so far his list of problems seem to be

1)Jason Plato
2)Nicolas Minnassian
3)Peter Storm

I think Hodgson is a touch arrogant, and needs some of these drivers to knock him down a peg or two, anybody share the same view's as me?

Well my true and honest opinion of Stevie is gonna be filtered but here goes.

He is a self centered, egoistic, thick, pathic, winging, stupid tw*t, moaning ****er with a constant problem and minging chip on his shoulder.

he thinks he's great but he's an annoying ****** who does my head in, he thinks because he's raced in the busch series, he's god and that all the other drivers should let him through and respect, he should learn how to race, he is a real puff and if he can't take the heat then he should get out. Maybe if he shut up and raced people other than making a fuss all the time he'd win some races.

oh and I forgot the most important thing, he's an arrogant pr***, and I must say after meeting him, he is as stupid as he appears on TV and in the press.

Threatening to put someone in the wall isn't going to do him any favours is it?

I first came across Stevie when he and his brother Andy were racing BRISCA Ministox, and you couldn't have hoped to meet a nicer or more enthusiastic racing family. I've not met him too many times since he moved on from short oval racing, but I'm delighted his ability and commitment have taken him so far. I'm not really surprised at a life-long oval racer getting a little impatient with the likes of Peter Storm!

Stevie needs to accept that there are drivers that are as good or better than him in ASCAR and stop complaigning and making up pathetic excuses.

He thinks that he's the only driver that has the guts to put someone in the wall, well he obvioussly doesn't know Plato who demonstarted that he's willing to drive through people to get a win.

His problem is that he thinks he is great, when he is not the exceptional driver that he thinks he is. Hopefully Plato will put him in the wall and it may wake him up, he's only upset because he's getting beaten.

When I met him at Rockingham he thought that he was Mr Cool, when to be honest he came across as a bit of a loser who aught to get a life, mr hard, huh.

Peter Storm was nowhere near Hodgson, when he hit the wall. It was his own mistake!

Agreed he can't accept his own faults, I'd rather have 1car less on the grid than to have a prat like him in the series.

Lars, it was a good test of the autocensor, now you can spot any weaknesses in it.

I would hope that Stevie Hodgson wouldn't intentionally go out & put someone in the wall? That's how drivers get killed. I can name 5 drivers in the Nascar series' & one Arca driver that have been killed in the past 5 years in accidents where they just hit the wall.

What I'm wondering is - how much of this is real, and how much is media manipulation?

Is the series trying to create tension / hype by making up rivalries? Eg the Mickel/Claussner "fight" and "pumpkin" namecalling.. how much was real, and how much was dodgy wrestling-style manipulation?

Okay, he might well be arrogant or whathaveyou, but is he deliberately being made out to be worse than he is to create fan interest, and build up the show?

Just a minor pondering...

he is a god. He proved that in short track and eurocars.

What I want to know is why he can never get a big sponsor? He never had a sponsor in Eurocars, he hasn't one now and even in the BGN series in the US the car he got a couple of rides in was virtually unsponsored.

Why can't a nice, quick guy like him get sponsorship and the arse-end no hopers can??
