Really enjoyed watching the historic FF's yesterday, they were unlucky with the weather being one of only a couple of races that the rain played a big part.
First corner incident gave you a flavour of what was coming with the circuit looking like an ice skating ring, a number of cars taking to spinning through out the race but only a few not being able to continue, a safety car for a couple of laps made for a regrouping, some surprising times being achieved despite the weather and some new names making their way into HSCC including a couple of cars I saw earlier in the year at keyline.com events. It's great that these older cars are competitive against the pre 82 classic guys too.
Had a good giggle at the "Castrol "car that thought the race finished two laps early when the chequer flag was being readied at the line (admittedly it looked suspect from the stands too and he was still waving thanks to the marshalls as he cruised round, they then rallied in the pits to get him over the line to avoid being lapped !
Great club spirit and support made for Another great days entertainment, thanks to all for a brilliant day.
