And in many ways you are looked after. At some circuits free breakfasts, sponsored overalls, circuit reps that liaise directly between the circuit and marshals along with the MSA.

One could also argue that without drivers spending vast amounts of money there would be no motor sport for you to officiate at.

The point I was trying to make is that there are limited funds available to all circuit owners to carry out maintenance and commit to facilities at circuits. The first people to get electric hook ups should be the competitors as they are the ones indirectly hiring the circuits.

So you are seriously suggesting not going to Snetterton, Donington Park, Cadwell Park, Oulton Park, Lydden Hill and I suspect several other circuits. Let's be serious for a moment folks

Mike Kelly 1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Electric hook ups at Donington? They don't even have hot water in the toilet blocks!

See my previous post.

Camping - tent/caravan/motorhome/whatever - is what you make of it. If you want luxury then splash out on the best with onboard shower/toilet/bath etc. Otherwise, think about the camaraderie spending evenings with your fellows.

I freely confess that my camping days are over, but I think I have a good excuse these days. However, I do still miss stopping over at the campsites for some of the bigger meetings (GP, BTCC, Classic, Le Mans). Wonderful evenings with friends, barbies and lots of booze! I recall one time with our little TV (black & white) hooked up and in the doorway of the van so we could all gather to watch the GP highlights on the Sunday night. Loads of us - what a party!

These days, I suppose, everyone's watching on their own Tablet thingy in full colour & HD.

Live life, go for it and do better than us using a Barbecue!
