So if that's how it's going to play out, does that mean the doors are open to a bigger grid?

Question is, will FFF, LDM or TDR get the $500k/year? Common sense says no. I think an important thing to consider is with those 3 RECs they were bought for around $1.5m each (give or take), but each owner cashed in when Archer bought the category out... |

The teams through TEGA fought so hard in 1995 to get the category rights given to them by CAMS for 1996
Now they want to give it to an investment firm.... |

And it states in the article that the plan is based around a 25 car grid, so looks like that must be the new magic number.

With TDR still likely as an entrant in some form in 2015, and the FFF/LDM argument continuing.. 28 is still probably the true number.. presuming there are 3 entrants in the wider world willing to commit to run a car next season & beyond..

If the fine for non participation is $150k per round, surely the cost of making a token appearance is considerably less?
If you already own all the equipment, you're only up for fuel, accommodation and tyres, then run slowly enough to not wear anything out... |
