Brian Lister
Just heard that Cambridge engineer & race car builder Brian Lister has died aged 88. Honoured to meet him a few years ago when he signed my copy of Archie & the Listers.

Britain's motor racing scene in the 1950s was so much richer and more colourful with Brian Lister's cars around and added to by the flare and great competitiveness of Archie Scott Brown which made them a legendary and irresistible force.
The Daily Telegraph's obit is here:- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obit...-obituary.html Although it does not appear to say so, it was written by Robert Edwards, author of the above mentioned book. Thank you for all you did, Brian, RIP Last edited by John Turner; 24 Dec 2014 at 10:08. |
