Nothing too ambitious, but a solid pair of hands who knows the car and could do something in race 3...

Does anyone have any timetable info for Friday's running for testing, specifically when the super tourers are on?
Thanks. |

Nice grid! Jackson on pole, from Aron Smith, Goff and Ingram!
Interesting that Shedden's penalty demotes him to just behind Mr Plato |

I dont know about that but since their come back they are fastest in the speed traps most sessions. Interestingly though its normally Coles car thats faster than Jacksons in speed.

Great race though. Shedden looks unbeatable, Plato fought to an impressive 7th, but Josh Cook claimed a maiden podium!

it also the first podium for PowerMaxed racing
Plato still has a big advanatge that both Honda drivers are 1 strike away to start from the back |

Tingram was my driver of the day He would have made a deserving winner for that feistyness. Plato a bit naughty to ram him at Deane, which thankfully didn't work.
Shedden I think will do it. He hasn't given up and will surely take a couple more wins before the season is out. BMWs off the pace, seems that Tordoff's chances are over, barring a miracle. Same with Jordan Good to see Cook back up there after going quiet after Donington. Also good to see Moffat continuing form, although his inexperience still shows with a few mistakes. Great win for Motorbase and Mat Jackson, can't help but think back to Ford's late arrival in 1993, great car that arrives too late to make a genuine title attack. |

Anyways that was another top days racing - with Silverstone suiting the CCs and Brands GP being his personal favourite track Plato is still my tip for the title. Although one disastrous race for either him or Shedden could throw everything up in the air. Neal and Turkington could still be involved, but I'd be surprised if they were still realistically still in it post-Silverstone. Great results for Tom Ingram and Josh Cook - two future race winners and possibly even champions right there. Tom reacted like I think any of us would if we'd achieved our first podium. Lovely to see how much it meant to him. For a rookie, Cook has performed admirably this season. If PMR keep developing as they are currently then he'll be a consistent top 8 runner next season. With Jackson, Abbott and Welch all having tire issues (sure there was another driver, but I can't remember who) could it be time to introduce a Thruxton like rule for the Rock? The extremely long curves must put an awful lot of pressure on the left rubber and blowouts can be hugely dangerous at those sort of speeds. Hunter hitting Aiden Moffat could've been a very nasty one indeed. Maybe I'm reacting too song and drivers just need to take better care, but it just struck me as being an issue. Nightmare of a weekend for WSR. Collard in particular must've wondered why he bothered even going! I'm still disappointed they didn't choose a younger, more exciting charger than Nick Foster. Surely Dan Cammish could've achieved a couple of 14ths and a 16th or whatever it was?! He even managed to get himself a verbal warning! Pleased for Alex Martin getting his first top 15. He's been involved in his fair share of accidents, but lets not forget what Adam Morgan was like in his first year. Hopefully this will be the start of progress for him and TPR. I wish the SuperTCC would be a support race at every round. Some great racing (Zakspeed Escort and ex Mint Cavalier in particular) and great to hear the old sounds again. God they sound so much better than NGTC cars! |

Oh yeah it was great to see the super tourers out there after supporting Oulton last year, shame the grid wasn't as big. I agree with JC, would have been great if Rockingham was round in the 90s BTCC. Let's have more races with TV coverage. That would be great

Not quite sure how Plato got away with a verbal warning for his 'move' on Abbott, or nothing for his shove on Ingram that left bodywork dangling.

Enjoyed the racing last weekend.
Nice to see Josh Cook on the podium. I have the impression Adam Morgan can't handle it when under pressure. |
