Agreed, anyone who labels that race as "boring" must have really far out expectations. I thought it was a great race and a harbinger of what should be another incredible season. I really just don't get the negativity. Maybe people who were bored by it should watch artificial, door banging NASCAR races instead.

I think putz is trying to say Silverstone was nothing more than a Le Mans test. Which makes little sense to me since these lmp1 guys were running high downforce cars.

Notice the differences? Toyota was more competitive last year than this year, I'm worried. |

Because, like Porsche this year, they were running a tried and proven concept. Once Audi and Prosche got the handle on their new cars they were untouchable. Spa was that indicator last year and probably this year, also! In 2015, Toyota did 0 sub-1:42 laps, look how much they've improved. Their 2015 best was 1:42.2, 2016 was 1:40.6.

Last year, this round reached 150k on FS1. Las weekend it got only 78k. Other motorsport number: WUSC and F1 = 116k, Indycar = 402k

Weathertec United Sportscar Championship, although the actual name is IMSA Weathertec Sportscar Championship (IWSC) for short.
It gets referred to with many names but they all mean the same thing! |
