Interesting race that, worth wathcing the highlights if you didn't have the chance of watching it live. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

I have to say, the streaming was crap. How can an ACO run series not run a stream, when WEC and ELMS are really good?
Slow stuttery stream, no commentators, no on screen graphics and half the race missing. Even when you put in the effort to watch this series, they make it hard. It's got a decent enough grid now, but it's hard to watch and understand what's going on. |

Ho pin tung was even requested to act as the safety car for a lap while they got their act together early in the race. It's a proper adventure racing in Asia. |

For what it is worth the whole race is still available on LeSports: http://sports.le.com/match/102640000...ecord/26909326

If you thought the Zhuhai race came and went rather quietly, then the Fuji race seems to have been ignored altogether.

Well I tried watching the Zhuhai race and it was impossible to follow. The stream was terrible quality with no on screen graphics to show the positions and no commentators. So you had literally no idea what was going on. I'm not going to put in the effort to watch a series if that's their attempt at broadcasting it.

I tried to watch the Fuji race, but the stream was static cameras from around the track.

We sit and hear about how ever year should be a turning point in AsLMS. Well, we know that GG and MWM crew read this forum - get on the phone to the ACO and tell them we're trying to watch it but can't because the quality is abysmal. There are people who'd like to watch this! |

Why is this series always trying to shoot themselves in the foot? Now they've got a decent grid, but no effort to make the series easier to follow or even to watch a race or two.

Seems strange the powers that be are happy for the quality to be so low compared to its supposed partner series in the ELMS & WEC. Even GT Asia can manage to fully film & produce 2x 1hr races over the course of an 8 event series. That's works out as 16 hours of racing to film & produce right? So why can't a supposedly higher level series that is the ASLMS manage 16 hours per season of remotely watchable content? What's funny is that race one had the correct camera work, but you couldn't keep much track without commentary. Race two has the commentary, but they thought it'd be ok to follow the racing from a few fixed cameras.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah they need to get it together with coverage, it's doing them a lot of harm. I'm sure it's not cheap, but producing a quality product never is cheap.
Thing is, the crowds at both Zhuhai & Fuji were larger than at the vast majority of ELMS events, and the support racing at Fuji in particular was actually half decent, so as an event for those present, it's quality, but something needs to be done about coverage to everyone else. |

Apparently the AsLMS is not focused on attracting fans.

Yeah, it's so disappointing, the series will never succeed if they don't even consider the fans, I mean this is what it's all about no?

Nope, at the very best it'll be some static cameras around the track. Shame because it's going to be an entertaining race with the likely downpours during the race.
