As long as Webber is on the 2003 grid, I don't care where the rest end up!

Webber's chances of finding a good drive are slowly diminishing unfortunately....

The results so far are interesting; Webber, Irvine and Sato looking good, but Massa has less votes than DeLaRosa, DeMatta and Verstappen.

It's because Massa has bugger all chance of a grid spot next year. He'll be a tester, and if he calms down a lot, may be back on the grid in 2004.
He may be quick, but he is very immature still and Brundle doesn't think much of his driving style at all. |

Would you agree with him though? His performances for a while now have ranged from the ordinary to the pathetic. Suzuka was a shining example.
I think a year off would be best for Massa. Let him mature a bit more as a person/driver and then let him back in the fold. |

You may be right. Sato is coming good now, but I think he and Massa may have been better served with a year of testing in 2003 before starting their careers. Time will tell.

out of the current bunch , i would rather see De La Rosa dissapear. Sato must stay in F1 , so must Massa . Davidson and Pizzonia deserve a place......just not enough seats !

The funny thing is if Arrows can make it onto the grid, Minardi survive and another team took up the 12th spot on the grid, almost all of them could get a drive.
Another example of how missing teams is killing F1. |

I think Antonio "Pizza Express" Pizzonia
deserves a seat in F1. Flipper Massa needs to get rid of that lisp. Baby Talk, Baby Talk, it's a wonder he can walk! Uh oh, Flipper's gonna sue me for that, along with disability advocates, because a lisp could count as-dare I say- disability! "We shall overcome, all who believe..." |

Webber 'guaranteed' Minardi drive
But Aussie still looks bound for Jaguar Rising Formula 1 ace Mark Webber has been guaranteed a drive with Minardi next year - although team boss Paul Stoddart says there will be no hard feelings if he finds a better drive elsewhere. Webber is strongly tipped to join Jaguar Racing in 2003 in place of Eddie Irvine. But the deal has yet to be finalised and the former Renault test driver told Autosport.com last weekend that his future should become clear in a few weeks. Stoddart told Reuters: "As it stands today I cannot tell you who either of my drivers are going to be next year. I would hope that it would be a combination of Webber and [Dutchman Jos] Verstappen. But it could be a combination of anyone. We did a list the other day of 20 drivers. Rest assured there will be two good drivers. "I've released Mark from his contract so he's a free agent. If he gets a better drive then good luck to him and I do genuinely mean that and I wish him well. If he doesn't, then there is a guaranteed seat for him next season. "He's in a perfect position. He's under no pressure. Mark would be my number one choice of driver for next year if he does not get something better." Remaining at Minardi would, of course, rely on the team's continued participation in F1. Stoddart has threatened to pull his team out because of an arbitration case brought by rival teams which could cost the outfit vital revenue. www.autosport.com |

I've got a feeling Flavio has something lined up for Mark. There hasn't been anything announced, but whenever Mark's been asked about next year, he's always answered in a very confident manner. If he doesn't get a seat, it will be nothing short of a travesty.
