Estre vs Pier Guidi. Looks like that LMP2 slipstream didn't do Estre any favors after all. Entering the Porsche curves they were equal and Estre pulled a 0.5 s gap there, amazing.

The track conditions changed quite a lot session to session. I don’t meant the non sun just general changes

There was talk that the support races made a difference - the rubber going down wasn’t compatible with the Hypercar rubber. Others talked about the influence of the wind.

It’s always a thing, but seems more this year. Or I’ve just noticed more.

Top speeds were down during hyperpole due to a headwind on the mulsanne. This also explains why laptimes were slower than last year.



The top speeds here were mostly recorded from laps where hypercars had slipstreams while clearing traffic but you can still see the downward trend. The Porsche did not exceed 325km/h on it's pole lap in clear air. The Alpine did not exceed 330km/h on it's best lap. Everything was substantially down.

Yes, that'll be a show car, which as far as I am aware contains a lot of wood.
