The 88 was in the wrong and paid the price. The move you talk about happens every day in racing hundreds of times all over the world in racing every weekend. It is as common as a penalty in a game of rugby. Chaz put himself in that position and paid the price. He had a win sitting in his hand. Heads up, Chaz has done the same move many times over the years.

Also, why does nothing happen when i watch the races? Look at all the drama all weekend, yet when i watch the actual race its snooze.
Interesting perspective given Brad is the one who pays the bills AND literally has his own son running around exposed to the risk.

For cars with safety at the level of Supercars, Carrera Cup etc no changes are required. I’d fully agree with changes for historic or club racing.

I despise those two as well. It’s motorsport, not a circus. All I care about is who is fastest. Driver “personality” just turns me off the products of their sponsors.

Not WAU. The driver, who ignored team instruction.

Presumably having 3 of the BJR cars safe inside the to 10 meant the outcome might not have gotten the looksee in team land it might normally have…
Could be - amazed that someone amongst the Supercars Motorsport crew didn't pick it up either, you'd think they'd be more on top of something as basic as this one.

The rumour had nothing to do with speed, supposedly it was driver/team disagreements over time and the qualifying crash caused another one which was the final straw.

Supposedly, none of the gossip rags, sorry media in Supercars land, have mentioned it so im leaning towards a nothing rumour

Given that there is a fair bit of animosity towards Grove Racing after it grassed other teams at the Gold Coast, if it had it would have gotten out. Supercars, more specifically its head medico Carl Le, would have seen the independent medical report/s before sanctioning the substitutions.

He was leading the race, the other idiot was nowhere. He didn't have to race that hard. Everytime I raced it was never the responsibility of the leader to get out of the way, the responsibility sits with the overtaker. Idiot didn't take care. For me, it was a deliberate move encouraged by Red Bull

Personally I dont believe any team would deliberately take out another team. There was nothing to gain from the exercise but a win. The championship was already done and dusted. But each to their own.

Go watch the replay.
His team told him to move aside.
He looked like he went wide to allow Broc through, but then turned down, and Broc only narrowly caught his rear bumper.

Chaz admitted he was undecided and that he had no right hand mirror and misjudged where Broc was.

It takes two to crash.

The idiot won the Top Ten shoot out and started on Poll. Your man shortcut the Chicane, (which you receive a bad sportsmanship penalty for if you keep doing it) to take the lead. All radio chat is open by the way. Was there a Debris Debris call at any stage? Feeney was told by his engineer that Chaz had been told to let him by. Feeney would have thought when he made a move Chaz wouldn't fight. Also Chaz didn't have a mirror on that side of his car, He turned in not knowing Feeney was there. Very simple and very common racing incident as you would know. If Chaz let Feeney by he would still have been in the lead of the race. Everyone asked the same question, Why didn't he just let 88 go? And Chaz knew he cocked up when he got out of the car. And Jamie was not the second shooter on the grassy knoll, before you start.

Supercars investigated the first lap upon the request of Triple 8 and deemed Feeney to be at fault.......

If there was a tyre bundle bolted to that Chicane, Chaz would have known very early he wouldn't be able to clear Feeney from the start and would be looking to get in behind him. Like most of the other cars in the field did. I don't like drivers gaining position cutting the chicanes because they can't get on the racing line. I'm not the only one who doesn't like that rule. or lack of a rule. You can't do it for the whole race, so why lap one.
