Thompson is unfortunately a hopeless case. A very talented driver but for whatever reason unable to secure sufficient backing. Sad to say but can't see him becoming a full-time BTCC seat anytime soon. A PMR seat would be out of reach for him, let alone Excelr8 or Speedworks.

Good to see Doble back on the other hand and the fact that PMR is staying after all is extremely positive - have to admit I was very doubtful they could secure a sponsor in such a short amount of time.

Proctor posted some photos on Insta too, the number 18 on what looks like the rear door window of some kind of modern saloon. Can't find it now, do they disappear after a while? I sometimes use it on a desktop, haven't bothered posting there for years (too complicated for me!)
At least if he confirms it there will be no more idle speculation. Doesn’t leave much for last seat at speedworks . Given they pursued Shedden suggests they would like to fill 4th car . Still can’t see Proctor returning given length of time since last in series unless he has sufficient budget . Would like to see Butcher back in team alongside his bro in law .

A big shame that Thompson isn't going to make the grid this year, feels like there's a lot of drivers eyeing up 2026 budget wise.

Hopefully the Zeus Cloud mess isn't the last we see of Bobby in the series.

Must be frustrating for Bobby T. Having done so well at Snetterton last year and not being able to build on that due to lack of budget, he must be hoping for a miracle by now. In the right car he’s a winner, but I wonder if he will ever get the proper chance he deserves?

Having seen lots of good news this week it’s likely to be quiet now until tests start . A sight of the BMWs maybe . With Doble and Thompson now spoken for not sure about Toyota unless they give someone an unexpected run out . Huff Butcher and Collard have past history but no links . Always sad that such a high profile brand has no crossover from other ventures . One of their WEC or WRC drivers would be big draw . Zelos appears to have no opposition at Hyundai . At least entry has matched last year and competition looks better .

I agree it would be nice to have a Toyota factory driver from another series give it a try, but I don’t think the BTCC would be a top priority for them

Zelo’s does have opposition at Excelr8, it’s called a budget shortfall

What upsets me at TGR is the lack of continuity. They change drivers every year and never build for the future . Wasn’t so much thinking of established drivers but whether they have a young driver program. A year in tin tips would be a good source of apprenticeship

From Focus Cup Socials Proctor was out in the Power Maxed Livery Class 1 Focus today.

That car had been advertised as an "arrive and drive" package recently, and Power Maxed are one of the series sponsors and have had a liveried car the last few years, so not necessarily a link to btcc.

The proctors are old fashioned club racing family and if he wants to compete I can see Senna being in something just for the fun of it . Sadly he has never had a budget sufficient for BTCC and now there are no factory backed seats his ambitions have stalled . He should have had further shot after impressing at BTC but was overlooked in favour of established names

I agree, that 2021 season was when Proctor came of age. Shame he’s never had a chance to follow up on it

I takes a few moments to look at https://rokit.com/ - they have plenty of brands they are involved with.

As to the origins of the company, the founders made their money marketing / distributing such brands as Yokohama Tyres, British Telecom, Paul Mitchell, Patron Tequila and ABK Beer.

In simple terms, they make their money from marketing - in a similar manner to MB Partners.

Interesting given their recent agreement to support the TOCA engined teams . It’s now more predominantly blue so we have teams that are mainly green red yellow and blue , good colour spread .

If we assume TGR will be the usual Red and white chequer then I think only restart haven’t revealed their look . Still waiting official pics for the regular WSR cars and DeLeon will be separate. Also Morgan’s car may differ from team vertu
