What do myself and Michael Andretti have in common?

We'll both be watching CART fly through Eau Rouge...on TV!!

(hopefully!)

Ahh..let's not count our chickens before....

There's still some deals to be done before this goes through, so hold your celebrations. Anyway, I'll be happy if Cart has even 2 races in Europe and the UK next year.

Octagon, who own Brands and the British GP contract are saying nothing is decided. Pook is saying they are talking about it. Some major hurdles have to be overcome before all of this flies friends. The most likely is Estoril which has wanted a GP back for years. Spa would be a slap in the face to the FIA by the Belgians, and Brands is a great historically famous track but I'm not sure we would get great racing on it for Champcars, a better crowd than Rockingham, yes. I still think CART needs to find a way back to rockingham and the German oval if it can.

Rockingham will always be an option, but I think Lausitz is but a distant memory now that it's gone bankrupt. They'll need to find a buyer before they go back there.

What do Michael Andretti and I have in common?

(10) Neither of us will be driving in CART next year.
(9) Neither of us have any sponsors.
(8) Both of us are considerably less thin than we were 10 years ago.
(7) Neither of us sign very many autographs these days.
(6) Both of us remember when Nazareth was a dirt track.
(5) Both of us are sought after to give opinions on subjects about which we know nothing, and are eager to give these opinions.
(4) Neither of us is likely to get invited to Paul Tracy's birthday party. (Although I have a better chance than Mikey does.)
(3) Very few people come to a race hoping to meet either one of us.
(2) Both of us frequently speak before we think.

AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON MIKEY AND I ARE ALIKE:

(1) Both our fathers are better drivers than we are.

You should send that in to Letterman, Liz. Might get a kick out of that.
