I'm sure that when Eric B. formed this team, the IRL was not his first choice. Look at his options at the time. He's as much a road-racer as any of 'em, and he was one of the first to jump at the opportunity that CART has afforded new teams this year. As it turns out, he's got one heck of a driver and now a new "partner" in Emmo. Five years from now he'll be a household name.

Yep I don't mind Conquest, when Cart was too expensive they wanted to race openwheels and went where they could afford it. When costs became the same between Cart and the IRL they came back to where they wanted to be.
Having said that they need to get their finger out and update the website. If I changed series the first thing I'd do is change the flag outside, so to speak. |

Im not against conquest racing....just change the dam flag. Promoting the IRL is the last thing we want to do.

Yeah agree. If they don't take action call Pooky at home on the weekend see if he can logon and do something. A good way to get their attention is to call Conquest and say you're interested in seeing them race at the next IRL meeting and where can you get tickets from, when they ask tell them where you saw the IRL logo, that'll wake'em up.

I think the answer to your question Marcus is "yes". Mi-Jack / Conquest for example. They made their sposorship decisions to leave the IRL for ChampCars for a reason. A marketing reason. They obviously saw more value for the dollar in CART. If the team is not delivering that value by giving them what they're paying for(that's an association with CART not the IRL) I think they could argue successfully they are being damaged. CART itself is being damaged as they have paid money to have the car on the grid. Instead of promoting CART the website has the IRL logos etc. etc. So again, yes someone is being hurt or at the very least, not being helped in return for the help they are giving. Can you see the point?

Yeah it's not a life or death situation but we'd just like attention to be payed to the detail, however small.

They can have the IRL logo on their site forever if they race in CART forever...

yes , Flatspot I see your point and it is a very valid one.
I agree that it is probably very unprofessional of them to make this mistake , but Im not up in arms about it like some. some may say well "im not a real CART fan" I wouldnt dispute that fact because if the truth be known Im not a cart fan or an IRL fan or a Moto GP fan , I am a "Motorsport fan" , therefore I dont have any dramas with whatever they put on their website , but I can see why people are getting upset by it, but to me its no big deal , I will still go on watching every bit of motorsport I can get my hands on |

I am also a motorsport fan Marcus, but first and foremost I am a CART fan! After what the IRL had done to us (CART) over the past few years, I think I have a right to be upset. All CART fans have the right to be upset. You are right...this is not the end of the world. Conquest Racing did not commit the ultimate sin. But like you said, it is very unprofessional of them to make such a mistake. It makes them and us (CART) look like amateurs. Did I ***** and moan about it? Hell Yes! But I also emailed them and asked them politley to change their mistake and to update their website as soon as possible. End of story.

Okay, let me rephrase that. Without Motor Racing, Drinking and Woman, what else is there. They differ depending on the time of day.
