Meanwhile in Jerez, new BAR test driver Takumo Sato outpace driver Olivier Panis and Luca Badoer in a Ferrari.

Times:

1: Takumo Sato BAR 1:22.765 62 laps
2: Olivier Panis BAR 1:23.52 46 laps
3: Luca Badoer Ferrari 1:23. 92 70 laps
4: Nick Heidfeld Sauber 1:25.45 20 laps

Duly noted, Steve. Let's see what the WCC tables look like after Suzuka. There was little doubt that the Pig-gut engine was producing scads of power. If "AMT" (whoever they really are) can turn a pig into a reliable power plant then Arrows' prospects look good. I'd like to see them do well, I'm just not optimistic.
