Historic & Vintage Racing at Silverstone, 17th 18th May.

Once again I’m hoping to meet regular users of our Forum at Silverstone.

Races this time include entries from both the HSCC & the VSCC, I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the Hawthorn Memorial Race for front engined pre 1961 F1, F2, and Tasman cars, on the Sunday.

I’ll be in the grid for the VSCC handicap on Sunday evening and marshalling on the Saturday. Anyone who fancies marshalling and thus free entry to the event can contact the HSCC or the VSCC info@vscc.co.uk 01608 644777.

No experience necessary! You will be welcomed as a newcomer and given encouragement to continue with training to such essential services ans flag marshalling eventually.

See you there.....

I'll definitely be there though it's looking worryingly like I will be sans camera as mine is off back to the factory this weekend
Does anybody have a full timetable of events?

I hope you enjoy the weekend. However if I were in the UK I'd be racing at Brands Hatch in the CSMA Classic weekend.

Sadly I'm flying out to Barbados that weekend so I'll be thinking of you all but not much!

I think the HSCC Classic F3 / Derek Bell Trophy is first race on the Sunday, not last race on Saturday.

15 minutes for practice and 15 minutes race, thats ballcocks!

dunno what entrance fees per race is but it doesnt look like good value to me.

dont even know If the car will be ready for the weekend so we could be reverting to plan B . . . .Beulieu on Sat, Brands on Sun

yes I am in race 12 as well - on Saturday I am number 112 I think and Sunday 95, looks like the sign on desk will make some money out of me this weekend buying numbers! I havent raced with Classic Sports Cars before and I will be interested to see how I get on. I think I will be the oldest car by some margin! Hopefully I should be able to hold my own though based on the Cloth Cap at Donington.
re value I agree I was bit disappointed that the races are just the normal 15 minute races and not longer.

sorry yes its a Lotus Eleven series 2 Le Mans - easy to spot as it is bare metal carrying its original (and little battle scared) body!
