Gazprom has'nt payed Minardi yet...........
They said they had payed, but Paul Stoddart has'nt recieved the money yet, Gazprom will probably not be on the Minardi anymore as of this weekend. But Minardi still need money, and Gazprom's place on the car will probably be filled by an existing sponsor: Trust.
Trust has had so much positive respons(and income $$$$$) from the sponsorship deal with Minardi and Jos that they want to increase their share. People from the Trust financial department are currently checking the Minardi budget, they want to make sure Minardi can enter all races before paying more money, but the CEO, Michel Perridon, was very positive about it, he also added that if Mianrdi get the money one of the things the will do is put the car in the wind tunnel(wich they haven't done yet because of the 2 sponsors who have'nt payed: BSA and Gazprom) Last edited by steve nielsen; 14 May 2003 at 22:49. |

Hardly surprising, when you deal with sponsors of the last resort like Gazprom.

On the bright side, they wouldn't have to let Sergey Zslowbin drive that car again.

Wow. Good to see Trust is getting value out of the deal... Excellent. C'mon Stoddy, keep it going man. Wait until the manufacturers pull out...

*******s. How dare they take advantage of Minardi.
If i were MS, i would drive for them for the last year, for free, and actually paying them. |

Gazprom is the largest natural energy supplier in the world. I find this totally unsurprising.

Is Trust going to give Minardi some extra cash? Or is Stoddart just being nice and giving another sposor more value for money until he grabs another to fill that space? Last edited by Adam43; 15 May 2003 at 12:37. |

Not likely,2 outfits with no money suing each other would be only throwing more money after bad.

I had a Trust mouse once. You, Steve, are very loyal to Jos and his band, but it was an absolutely SH*TE mouse!

Why don't Minardi try the switch cards before they put the ads on the cars?

According to grandprix.com Minardi will change their livery, they will have black car but WHITE sidepods.
and not only Trust will pay more, Muermans will put more money in as well(Mr. Meurmans had already payed more than he had agreed before because he payed for the powersteering for Jos at the Malaysian GP). |
