The Viper was shafted in 24 hours of the Nurburgring
It seems that the German just cant take seeing another Viper win it again 4 out of 5 years. The Viper had the fastest MPH, the fastest lap, and the fastest car period. The Germans just cant take it. The Vipers have always kicked their butts since they came into racing. I love the race except for the Germans and their unfairness

Yea. How is it possible to accept the car with one size fuel tank, let them take grid, start race, and then penalize them? Bet that wouldn't happen to a BMW!

The bottom line is that they could not take to see that the Viper was going to win again. They were going to beat factory sponsored teams.

They cheated. The fuel tank was too big. They were to have a 90 litre tank, but they filled up with 111+ litres.
In his Formula 3 days Zakowski is said to have punted the superior Ellen Lohr off the track at least twice which hindered her chance of becoming the first female German Formula three champion. |

No, I think the organizers want more factory teams and therefore couldn't have Zakspeed win in a Viper. Shafted big time!
