Takagi penalised
Tora Takagi has been penalised for the crash in the dying laps at texas which saw Filipe Giaffone and Scott Sharp crash hard into the wall.
he has been placed on probation and has lost his points for the Texas race in which he eventually finished 3rd. full story can be found here http://www.indyracing.com/indycar/ne...?story_id=1476 thats a shame for Tora , but I guess he did cause the crash in a way , but its a bit harsh as in my view the pass was worth a good go at , but officials dont see it that way. |

Seems perfectly fair to me, his driving was awful and he cost two top drivers (inclduing his team-mate) of great results. Championships need to crack down on that kind of bonehead moves, so they've done the right thing.

They didn't last year, or in any other moves like that this year (DeFerran and who was it?), why should they now? Poor Tora, oh well.

What moves haven't they cracked down on? I've found they've been as strict in the last few years as they have been this year....
For what it's worth i thought it was more Giaffone's fault than Takagi's. |

Me too. Felipe was definately moving down more than he needed to be, and at the same time Tora was trying to go 3 wide. I feel bad for Tora, but I feel even worse for poor Scott Sharp! He might have been taken out by Giaffone even if Tora hadn't have been there.

Penalise his ass I say. I've never liked the guy ever since he showered me with hot debris at Rockingham last season after getting loose in turn 4.

Remember when he took out three or four cars in Toronto a couple years back in several shunts? He has always been a bit too agressive it seems..
