The BGN 300 from Talladega would have to go down in the books as one of the best races i have ever seen. 5 wide on the straights and 4 wide through the corners....that was pretty darn impressive. Hope the 500 (which i am getting up at 3am for) will be just as good.
Wouldn't it be good if all of the Nascar races were at Talladega? I mean that was a much better show than just about anything a bull ring or a single groove track could put on. I guess the only drawback would be, if you make one tony mistake, 6 cars are going to the garbage dump... |

I as well am a great fan of Talladega, and attend the spring race almost every year....note I said 'almost', as I am sitting home in Indy this year! Though a big fan, I wish something could be done to eliminate the restrictor plates,......steeper windshields, box-ier front ends, bigger nose grille openings, less front air dams & steeper spoilers, less fender flares could all go a long way in reducing speeds. Didn't you think that the Trucks looked and raced great at Daytona being un-restricted??,.....the slingshot was back, and the trucks had 'power'. |

I said above about taking away alot of the aerodynamics would go a long way in reducing speeds, but what I meant was that it would take away alot of the aero advantages that make the cars so-fast that the need to restrict the motors exists.
