Speaking of nice jobs, #32 now leads the race. From nigh-on the back of the grid.

So, Mapelli an Pierguidi have now overtaken all but the 37 and 88 of the cars on the "alternative strategy" (and those will have to stop forst).

Slowly, more of the grid are being caught. |

Really impressed by how many cars are still running without going into the garage. As far as i can see only the 4 cars involved in the accident in the first hour are retired.

Apart from those 4 there are 3 that have been heavily delayed: #11, #70 and #5. All others (51) are within 3 laps. |

I think its 19 cars on the lead lap now. Might be important to track. If you go a lap down I feel the car won't be a contender for the victory. Also the fewer cars on the lead lap the less of an impact these FCY/SC's will have on the race. In fact with fewer cars on the lead lap you get more lapped cars which can split the cars up on the lead lap in the line when they go back to green. I would not mind seeing just a handful of cars on the lead lap eventually. If the race stays green like it is now. For sure that number will go down.

i switched to the french version. aside from the strange accents, it’s very understandable and although they talk over the messages from race control they’re nowhere near as annoying.

I can't really follow the race via the main feed at this point. Its too dark and too bright (with the headlights) at the same time. How the cameraman don't go blind I don't know.

Lead change on track with Caldarelli passing Ledogar, but we can't see it because they have to sho the 6 minutes highlights once more.

Nearly 7 hours in now. We have had a nice stretch of green racing. 13 cars on the lead lap right now I think. But there might be some routine pit stoppers from a couple of them that might make them temporarily a lap down. They won't want a safety car right now. |

#88 Mercedes with a drive thru penalty at Spa is going to hurt bad. They will go a lap down properly. They might be done when it comes to winning this race now.
