No, Honda already uses the Civic sedan in TC2000.
The city is a sedan also, but is smaller and cheaper (1.5liter 4,4mts long) than the civic (1.8 and 2.0 liter, 4,5mts long).

Citroen will use the 5 door C4, not the 2 door VTS used in WRC... hence the "odd" rear look

Whats your source for saying they are not changing cars? GM Argentina CEO said they will use the Cruze in 2011 in the BsAs pits.... The best choice would be to try to improve the Vectra? Really? After 2 years of achieving nothing?

I think the Accord would have the same problem than the Vectra: too draggy, too bulky, too heavy.

If I would be allowed to pick a car I would pick the smaller sedan I could: hatchbacks have aero issues, big sedans are.... big.

That's great news!

Dole Racing owner Marco Jakos wants to bring Volvo to the TC2000 for 2012.

Would the smaller C30 not make more sense? Or is it not allowed because it's a coupe?

Actually it's a hatchback, so it should be fine. But most Volvo sales must be sedans, so the team will pick one of the two.

Isn't the C4 sedan compared to C4 hatchback not more poplar in Argentina?

As it is the case with the underperforming Vectra or the choose of the Civic vs the Accord, big cars dont do well.

The C4 sedan is a real boat. A hatchback is a wiser chose.

It may be more popular because its older, the hatback version came only a coupleof years ago.

The Brazilian Vectra is an Opel Astra C with an older platform. It isn't bigger than the Corolla or Jetta V.

It's just the sedan version. It's 4.59m long versus 4.54 for the Corolla. Now, the C4 Sedan is a ship: 4.77m.

Citroën won't enter the TC2000. DTA will now be a (the?) Peugeot works team. Drivers would be Mat*as Muñoz Marchesi plus Mart*n Basso (coming from Ford) and Facundo Ardusso (coming from Toyota). Yannantuoni would remain driving for Peugeot in Turismo Nacional, so I guess he might switch to Peugeot Cobra (if it remains).

Gabriel Ponce de León will switch from Ford to Fiat, and may race at Turismo Nacional for the brand too.

I'm torn over these cars and the cars that Superstars use. Right now the two classes remind me of the glory days of the supertouring regs and seeing these cars and the Audi A5 in the Superstars thread make me more ecstatic and frustratied over touring cars. And if he is reading this forum, Jorge L. Fernandez, those are some amazing car designs.

20-year-old and 2010 Turismo Carretera champion Agust*n Canapino will return to the TC2000 by joining Chevrolet TC2000 works team for 2011, replacing Guillermo Ortelli, who would return to Renault.

Sportteam will also return to TC2000 by fielding two Renaults, this time a a stellite squad. Drivers will be Guido Falaschi (2010 Top Race Copa América champion) and Mart*n Serrano.

Heard anything about Esteban Guerrieri maybe returning to his homeland?
I saw a piece on TCT about him replacing an outgoing driver at one of the works teams (I've forgotten which one) - it'd be a shame though if he is lost to single seaters.

If he doesn't find work outside Argentina, any Argentine TC / TC2000 / TRV6 team would love to have him. But he wants to race internationally as long as he can.

I imagine it has the potential to spiral out of control, cost wise.

I'm not familiar with TC200 or Turismo Carretera, but why don't they run current model cars in Turismo Carretera to attract factory sponsorship? It seems a missed opportunity, considering the series is more popular than TC2000.
