I mean why bother with lowering the entry bond so drastically in order to attract new entries only to then tell them there's no room for them?

I reckon Max will keep those new teams sweet for a while yet, the battle with the manufacturers is far from over!

The TV money is shared out amongst the teams (and other interested parties), so the more teams there are the less they all get.
