It seems not. But first four cars of a manufacturer will have a lower entry fee.

Got to think Gruppe M would favour Marciello given his history with them.
Wouldnt be suprised to see Engel land a palce in the series in another AMG, maybe Haupt Racing Team |

Also thought about it especially as Haupt were among the interested teams.

Or Toksport - it seems like he has great relationship with them.

What are the repercussions of Audi's announcement regarding DTM? Only private-funded entries? None at all?

Aren't you a bit late to the party?
There'll be no factory teams in DTM next year. |

Who knows actually but I think there'll be some support from manufacturers, at least when it comes to Audi, BMW (probably in 2022), maybe Mercedes or Porsche.

Here we go then, it seems 2seas motorsport who we’re planning a GTWCE program for next season will now race DTM instead.

Hoping we can get teams like Land, Toksport, Grasser, Lechner, Phoenix, R Motorsport etc on board for this series. Cool that somebody came in with a McLaren. Would love to see another wild card factor entry from an Acura or Lexus entry to come in to. I wonder if the KTM Cross Bow would be allowed. They won against the GT3 cars in GT open at Red Bull Ring this year. That car and Glickenhaus should be eligible too.

I would be great, but there are still 2 (3, depending on what Monza date will be picked) date clashes with ADAC GT Masters, I haven't checked how it looks like with GTWC.

Good to see another team sort of confirmed, I also hope we'll have big GT teams like Land, Grasser etc. Unfortunately it seems WRT won't be there, wonder what about Grasser. They have voiced their interest but have committed to three cars in ADAC GT since. Wonder what does it say about their possible DTM involvement?

Yes, you're absolutely right. The relationship between ADAC and ITR is terribly strained nowadays. Maybe it'll be seen on teams's choices as well.

ABT SPORTLINE to carry on in DTM with 2x R8 GT3's, first current DTM team to announce their continuation.
That announcement brings us 25% the way to a good car count.... DTM 2021 2 Seas Motorsport - Mclaren 720s GT3 - TBA 2 Seas Motorsport - Mclaren 720s GT3 - TBA Abt Sportline - Audi R8 LMS GT3 - TBA Abt Sportline - Audi R8 LMS GT3 - TBA GruppeM Racing - Mercedes AMG GT3 - TBA |

That's a good announcement. As for what I understand there's a chance for Müller and Frijns both continuing provided the FE amends its calendar so that there are no clashes. Anyway we'll probably see two high-class drivers racing for Abt.
According to Motorsport Total, Phoenix and Rosberg are also likely to stay in DTM. |

Would be very cool indeed! I'm disappointed by lack of WRT. Basically the only private team in Class One, I thought it'd be a no brainer to stay in DTM with GT3 cars for them.

And they surely have an eye on the Audi LMDh programme. Same for Phoenix who have confirmed an LMP2 and an LMP3 in Asian Le Mans series today. |

That's interesting. For now just one confirmed, with a chance of two. I really wonder who the drivers will be.
