One reason why Nick doesn't pop up high on people's list is that he is the low-profile sort, and doesn't get himself in the news.
But people forget that Nick came to F1 with a lot of promise and had fine results in the junior category. Unfortunately, Sauber stints and being looked over by Mclaren just din't help, and it sort of just eroded away part of his fighting spirit, that racing edge. I think Peter Sauber had said it well. This year, Nick feels confident that he has a competitive car, and it just gives him that extra motivation to push. His overtaking move on Fernando is well judged and cleanly executed. And the increased competition within the team just pushed him abit more than what he has to contend with early last year. This is his best chance of bringing himself into a higher league. He knows it, and i hope he does well. |

I know there's a very similar recent thread floating around, but thought it was interesting to pull this one out from 2007 in in light of BMWs momentous first win! And also on the opinions of Nick vs Kubica in 2007...
