If my memory serves me correct, Super Aguri have placed an entry, but need to wait until tomorrow to see if it'll be accepted.

So am I mountainstar - to be honest I didn't expect it to be kept. As for Super Aguri, is there any reason why the entry wouldn't be accepted?

It's a good news for Peter Sauber, and the hundreds of employees who worked since Sauber days.
I may be wrong, but i think that the name is selected to reflect the transition period, reminding everyone that although it's BMW owned, it's still a Sauber team and expectations be kept realistic. A couple of years later, with everything fully up and running, i believe they'd change it to a full Works team in name too . |

I think most of us feel that way mountainstar. It is a surprise, mind you, a pleasant one and perhaps my perception of BMW and MT in particular, is misguided.
It certainly shows respect for Peter Sauber ... and the reiteration of Peter as a consultant is also good to hear. It gives him a chance to ease out of the sport and to pass on some of that wisdom. |

It's a shame STR (who can be bothered to type out their full name?!) didn't stay as RedBull Minardi, but i guess they just didn't want the Minardi image.

Good to hear Sauber will remain there, something which we will miss in the Minardi, although the nationality remained there in case of the Squadra Toro Rosso.

Squadra Toro Rosso does at least roll nicely off the tongue, although I agree that its a shame the Minardi name is gone. Using the Sauber name for the tranisitonal time is fine by me, it's a nice touch, and a real 'thank you' to Peter and his people for ensuring that they inherit the fundamentals of a good team.

We say Red Bull, not RB, so we will say Toro Rosso.

I regularly say RBR (not RB, due to Rubens), and will most likely say STR.
I hope this does not see me in the camps,. |

Me too, I am far too lazy to type out the full name of each team or driver. Not sure about Super Aguri though, it sounds more like a games console to me. Would have prefered just Aguri Honda or similar.
