In this case yes. It's just an interim solution to allow two more entries into the race for this year and not part of the planned expansion.

I believe it was in part due to the success of WEC teams working out of awnings at Sebring.

I guess it’s too much hassle to extend the pit garages at such short notice. So this solution is better

As you say, it was fine at Sebring. It probably helps that a number of American circuits don’t have garages at all

I read in the test day thread that a change got made to the Ford Chicanes prior to the test day weekend. What is being referred to? New curbing, or a reprofile of one of the corners?

Since making the above comment I have seen a video clip via United's Twitter feed and the interior of their gazebo looks pretty fancy once they installed all their branded walls and partition panels.

They are also quoted on DSC to preferring the gazebo to the 'row of woe' garages at the northern end of the pitlane.
