a slightly different angle and the fuel cell goes upwards and over the fence. slightly odd how its sanctioned in USA and Australia but nowhere else in the world.

Having watched the video, that fuel tack did OK. It's obviously got coated in fuel as it's broken away, which is what's burning off, but it's retained it's contents and not produced a massive fireball. I'm quite impressed considering the damage.

With respect to going over the wall, the same could be said for anything which is throw off a wreck - wheels, suspension and body parts - and can be from pretty much any category. I once had a V8 Eurocar throw it's entire back axle at me at Mallory Park. Loose stuff is unpredictable, but everything seems to have done it's job properly.
