Have there been any 2020 tweaks yet?

Well, effectively the new kerbs last year. But these are the only works on the track in this part. This year the big works are about the drainage networks inside the track near the ford chicane and they will build a retention pond near the parking P 11 (https://storage.googleapis.com/asset...-mans-2016.pdf). Nothing about the track. If you want to read in French https://www.sarthe.fr/actualites/le-...ans-en-travaux

In the second link published by Eric there is a small video showing the big 2700 m3 collectors which will be hidden under the ground. Mr Couteau explains how the water will be rid of possible hydrocarbons, sands and will be returned in its natural course. They also say that another system like this one will be installed in the south of the circuit.

New bridge at the main entrance. Only to help crossing at the roundabout!

I'm pretty sure that I saw the track had been resurfaced at the top of Mulsanne, near Decathlon, where the track is to the left of the public road & roundabout. Not sure it was the whole of the straight though.
I'll find out in June when that's my bit again |

Good addition, but maybe a bit to the narrow side?

For anyone who hasn't seen the article, DSC have an interesting piece outlining details of several proposed improvements to the circuit/infrastructure here.
Hoping the Mulsanne gravel trap extension doesn't adversely affect the viewing area, but I suspect it will, and what is the purpose of the pedestrian footbridge at Indianapolis? A new infield spectator enclosure? The tunnel extension makes sense, we've all stood there for lengthy periods waiting to cross the road at the tunnel exit. Good news! |

Terrific, thank you very much for pics, Eric!
Hard to tell how much spectator bank we lose at Mulsanne, but looks like the furthest point is lost, so will no longer be able to see the last part of the approach before turn in. |
