Saleen S7-R (no the car :)) - tech question
Someone has asked me if the air intake on the roof of the S7-R is a Ram Air thingy as seen on GP bikes. I have no idea. From what I remember such air intakes are outlawed.
Can anyone* tell me more? *...Mike? |

If ram-air intakes are illegal, then every intake on every LMP, LMGTP, GTS and GT car are illegal...

Hm, I guess that's not what the person meant, then. I don't have the right vocabulary to ask this question properly.
It's the old language barrier again - gets you every time!! |

Yes, it is a ram air thingy as seen on GP bikes. They put the intake at the point on the car with the highest pressure.
The 2-part Corvette article on DSC explains how Corvette developed that on their cars. Roof-mounted intakes *are* illegal on Grand-Am DPs. Silly. |
