HJC should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Farfus loses victory!

The #3 AutoDelta Alfa Romeo 156 S2000, driven by Farfus, was declared not to conform with Art. 263.9.1 of Appendix J of the International Sporting Code due to the position of the fixation points of the rotational points on the suspension part checked after the race.

He received a 10 min penalty in both races... so no win and points for him.

Completely aweful that he looses his win like this.

Monica Sipzs:

“We did not appeal against the decision,” said AutoDelta team manager Monica Sipzs, explaining: “The non-conformity of the checked part was due a fabrication mistake, because we were in a hurry in order to finish the cars in time for the first meeting. As a matter of fact, in Monza, Mr. Jacques Berger of the FIA has checked other identical parts, and declared them conform; he also accepted the building solution of our suspension. The Stewards’ decision testifies that they have accepted our bona fide mistake, rather than punishing us for fraud.”

Yeah it's a damn shame. Still, there's no denying who was King at Monza, and if anything I think this fiasco will motivate him to push even harder during the rest of the year.

All I'd say to the fellow ETCC drivers is; Look out...

I find it interesting that only ONE Alfa didn't conform to the rules, yet the others did.

A 10 minute penalty in both races seems a little OTT IMO.

The news story says about the team rushing to finish the cars for Monza. Maybe they payed more attention to Gio and Tarq as they thought they would be the most likely challengers? Just a thought, but they shot themselves in the foot there!!

I'm absolutely gutted about this!! How come scrutineering and finding out about this didn't happen on the same day? It usually does in F1 or BTCC or most other series!!!
