Will Gronholm defend his title successfully?
I can't think of many rally drivers who won the WRC two years running. But do you think Gronholm can do it?

Not sure, I think that Burns, McRae and Petter will be hard on his heals............

Yes, but it will be closer, Burns has form, Panizzi and Loeb will have nowt but a fag paper between them on the black stuff, McRae will fade away Sainz style (but with more shunts), Martin will be eclipsed by Solberg, Duval, and Loeb. Gronholm will scrape it from Burns.

I think Gronholm would have to be the man most likely at this point, though I'm sure it will be closer this year.

Marcus, Colin, Petter and Sebastian should all be strong championship contenders next year.
I'm _really_ looking forward to the Loeb-Panizzi tarmac battles next year! |

He's not going to stroll to the finish line for sure! I'm looking for a Gronholm/Solberg race to go down to the wire next year. And I think Loeb will waaaay outscore McRae.

Only thing Grönholm had said about next year: "I'd REALLY like to win on tarmac next season."

Gronholm is the man to beat and the nearest contender for next year's World Rally Championship is his teammater Richard Burns. Burns was up with Gronholm, but faded in the last three rallies with mechanical problems and crashing out in the last rally.

1. McRae
2. Gronholm 3. Solberg Burns still won't have managed to adapt to the 206 by the end of next season. And now that McRae has a car that might hold together (when he doesn't hit it with a tree), he will get back to top form. Still the youngest ever world champion and most winningest WRC driver, despite the what some people saaaaay. |

I really can't see him being beaten. It always seemed that when Burns matched his pace in 2002 a date with a muddy ditch was just around the corner...

It's going to depend how competitive the Xsara WRCs are. I hope it's closer than 2002
