Beretta to test for Williams
Former F1 driver makes testing come back
13-01-2003 Anyone remember him from his F1 days? From:www.pitpass.com Former Larrousse driver Olivier Beretta is to test for WilliamsF1 later this month. The Monegasque driver competed in ten events for the Larrousse team in 1994, his best finish being seventh in Germany. Later this month the 33-year-old will participate in a two-day test with the BMW powered outfit, which is at pains to make it clear that this will not lead to a permanent test role. Beretta has previous experience as a test driver having previously performed a similar role for both Lotus and Larrousse. Since his F1 days Olivier has mainly concentrated on GT and Sportscar racing. |

Strange. I wonder why they'd test him, he's been out of the F1 scene for ages and ages.

Beretta did some cool things with the Oreca Viper, but other than that not worth remembering. So, indeed strange why they´d pick him.
