pete55 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Development Series 2007 (MERGED)

I was told today that there will be a few more L1 teams looking to run the Development series next year. This will apparently be be because of the rule coming in that the Main series drivers must remain in their own car for the enduros. Holden i hear will run at least one car, maybe two. Team Dynamik are supposed to run at least one car and other teams i hear will be running are FPR, 888 and Tasman.

The Holden teams looking to run in the development series would make sense, where they are stuck with VZ equipment and nowhere other than the development series to onsell it....

It can also be a lucrative earner for the main series teams... swapping technical expertise that already exists for money that is new and fresh.

Maybe a few current Ford drivers in that series will switch brands in hope of getting enduro drive.

Last year was completely dominated by Ford.

i think last year was because the level one ford teams were in the series and they had two a couple of ex main series drivers running as well

where as this year, it has gone back to more of a development series with less Level one support

It seems the open wheel team going V8 racing are going to run Holdens. I have not had time to check out all the facts yet, maybe tomorrow.

I did hear that one but this one is different. A driver with the initials DW is supposed to be one driver. Am looking for some more info on it.

Pete

DW heh.

Might have something to do with a current FF driver and his car yard owner father buying two holdens from a well funded Holden main game team and steppig up next year.

Good to see young DW get a run if its true. "cue fantasy island music"

Might be the best way to keep enduro drivers warm, and get away with additional testing.

I dont know if others have heard but it appears that the artist formerly known as Team Dynamik is building 2 cars for next years development series. That Simon Wills will be running but the previous race engineer is not part of this latest venture is also very interesting.

maybe we should have a support race for AU,s and old commies,to help reduce some congestion,

how about heats and a final

oh and how about a bigger field at bathurst in the main game, made up of some of these 40+ fields
