QLD 500 Returns
As expected, the QLD 500 will move over to the Procar series next year, as there will be an enduro for the V8 BRutes. It will be the conclusion of a 'Festival of Speed, with the Winternats on at the drags on the 7th of June, with the 500 the following weekend. There will be a big concert and B&S ball etc, will be huge!

Is VIP still involved or is Mr Quinn too busy with his Carrera cup project?

The question has to be asked though....will they last 161 laps?
Not mechanically - body wise - I mean - how many panels will they be permitted to replace during the race? |

Well why not the PROCAR Sandown 5oo was an absolute gem and a real race that all other classes should aspire to emulate, small field, barely a car on the same lap, loads of vacant seating, promoter threatening to give them the flick ,no parity issuesa now that most manufacturers are bailing out.
Yep they realy had a lot of options open to them. On a bright note the traffic won't be a problem |

161 laps of the brutes would be great. The repair bill by the end of it would be huge.

Hrmmm, to be honest I think it'll be pretty big. The Procar round at QR this year had a very good crowd, and with a showcase event with all of the bits and pieces and side shows that go with it, I can see it drawing a fairly decent crowd. QR is 2/3rd of the way to Woop Woop, so getting a Ute orientated crowd isn't that hard a task, don't forget this is the birthplace of Pauline Hansen

Do you think they will be bale to replace a dozen sets of tyres over a meeting... the drivers lock em all up every lap almost... hard on the cars they certainly are
Have they updated the ustes from AU to BA and VX to VY? |

Ths is bonza of an idea. Another one for Ross Palmer and Procar they definately come up with some good ideas. I cant wait for it 2 happen.
In response to Onllokers post, i didnt mind this years Sandown 500, the racing up front was good and went on for the whole day,. The lap differences is what happens when u dont run the pace car inot the ground like in the V8 races |

Hopefully they can get same big names as co-drivers like they did at Sandown this year. Brad Jones, Alan Jones, Dale Brede...................etc

I can't see why it wouldn't be a success as Willowbank is on the way to the rural area's of Ipswich & as Crash said the Procar round at QR drew a real healthy crowd so i think it is a great idea.

Also, I can confirm that they will be sticking with the AU/VYs next season for $$ reasons.
