Info needed on the ex-Tyrrell / Maggs / Steve McQueen FJ Cooper

Lads, I have been entrusted with making the TV documentary / video of the restoration here in England of the ex-Ken Tyrrell, Tony Maggs, Steve McQueen FJ car.
I need as much info, photographs, race programmes, film as I can on the car. Can anyone help me?? I also need to try and contact Tony Maggs himself, and I'm also wondering if there are any Tyrrell Teammechanics still around that worked on the car. I'm advised that Neil Davis is still with us.
I also wouldn't mind getting my hands on any sort of technical drawings that might still exist of the car. Anyone have any ideas?? I've already contacted the Cooper Car Club.....................

The Wild Ride - 1960

B&W Movie starring Jack Nicholson as a pimply faced hot rodding punk!!

Terrific speedway race scenes somewheres in the USA. Not so terrific street racing scenes.....

Very interesting "Cooper-looking" open wheel racer on the DVD cover but no sign of it in the filum?? Rear engined, polished aluminium body, three exhausts with motorcycle style silencers on the end, louvred engine cover, roll bar, Race #3, vertical, oval inlet trumpet before right rear wheel. Three exhausts could indicate an early A Series engine?? FJ?..........anyone??

McQueen's FJ Cooper was allegedly the ex-Maggs Mk2 (or T56 as we call them nowadays). Possibly FJ-7-61, or mebbe FJ-17-61

Could hardly have featured in a 1960 movie if it was a 1961 car? I may have some video of Maggs racing this car in UK in 61.

So a Movie made in 1960 could not feature a 1961 car on the advertising sleeve 40 years later???

you are probably right you know
