RIP Tony Fall
Read in another forum that Tony Fall has passed away yesterday. May he rest in peace!
BTW, Tony (BMC Cooper S) became third overall behind winner Vic Elford (Porsche 911) and runner-up Brian Melia (Ford Lotus Cortina) in the first ever Rallycross at Lydden on February 4 1967. |

I remember speaking to him after he was at a Rallysprint at Silverstone a few years back, as he rolled a car!!
He was a good team manager, anyone who can deal with the likes of Rohrl, Vatanen and Toivonen must have been good! Plus lets not forget he was a mean peddlar too. And was the founder of Safety Devices, no mean achievement and one many drivers can be thankful for over the years. |

Thats sad to hear, the 1st time I saw him was in the days of proper road rallies. I guess it would have been the Snowdrop Rally in about 1966,it started at Appleyards, on Canal Road in Bradford, where Tony worked I think. The last time was at Lyddon at easter, and I'll never forget the interveiw on From Harrogate it Started, after they had left the road in Wales on the RAC Rally. RIP Tony
