The Ferrari fall-out gets even more whacky!
I found this on the web!:
"The parish priest in Ferrari's home village says fans are asking him not to forgive the racing team for its antics at the Austrian Grand Prix. Don Alberto Bernardoni says some angry parishioners don't want to him to absolve team manager Jean Todt if he comes in for confession. Formula 1 fans were furious after Ferrari ordered Rubens Barrichello to let teammate Michael Schumacher past him on the last lap on Sunday." OOOOH, Jean Todt is in REAL doo-doo now, eh?
Couldn't happen to a more deserving, er, entity, could it? |

Do you think the Pope will get involved or is Bernie more likely to keep quiet?

Everything looks crazy, Can you believe this :
Yesterday, a famous journalist has stated on TV, that the biggest winner of all this confusion was Barrichello, because he had gained a lot of respect from the brazilians fans, which never had any faith on him. Today, Barrichello showed up on TV and said he couldn't understand all the fuzz about the race, since he was payed to obey orders... RB, oh man, you really sold your soul. |

Well for the people of Maranello to be frustrated and annoyed and unhappy about what happenned then it really does show how much Ferrari have messed up. And yet they still say they'll do the same again. How stupid are they? And when will they learn?

Mr. V: The bells did ring at Maranello, but for Barrichello and not Schummy.

According to ITV, this is the biggest thing to hit motor racing since Senna died.
If Ferrari really think they are going to finesse this one away, they must be living on a completely different planet from the rest of us. |

I THINK THAT msCH WILL BE TH EBIGGEST LOSER, AS HE HAS LOST MANY FANS AROUND THE WORLD, NOT JUST AUSTRIA. (Sorry for caps). Wouldn't it be funny if the tifosi boo'd him at Monza later this year. This may even force him into early retirement.

Actually, the best thing would be for him to have a change of heart and become a decent human being, and then redeem himself by actually winning a championship the sporting way before he retired.
Stranger things have happened. He is still a young man and perhaps this will be a watershed for him. |

We can only hope. I actually don't believe that his efforts to cover the embarassment on Sunday by having Rubens stand on the top set of the Podium or accept the Trophy, were sincere. But I do believe that, somewhere within, he is a decent man with compassion and that he will come to understand that his enormous talent and not political machinations should bring him the Crown.

Well, when you look at his life outside the world of F1, he is a decent enough bloke. He's got his wife and kids, he plays soccer for his local team, he collects marmalade (or so I've read)!!
It's a pity that he ruins that with his on-track performances. |

I think he's just a coward. If he could once get over that and stand up for the right against the wrong, he'd find out that it's not hard to do and you get a lot of praise and stuff for it. And every time you do the right thing, it's a little easier next time. Somewhere along the line he's funked some big decision and he's afraid to ever try it again -- or maybe he got jeered at by somebody when he stood up and he just can't stand the heat.
Anyway, I think that if he once did the righ thing, he might be better off for it. And I don't think that farce on the podium was sincere either -- it was a desperate attempt to paper over a very shabby failure of nerve and deflect the punishment he knows he deserves [the booing and whistling], kind of like telling your mother she looks great in that dress after you have broken the front window shooting pucks in the living room and she is advancing on you with a large wooden spoon and mayhem in her eyes... |

I don't think a man who drives a car at more than 300kmh per hour for a living should be called a coward. At least he is one of those 22 drivers on the grids that entertains us with their brave driving capability every two weeks

'Only the brave ones took the Eau Rouge flat-out, cowards like myself were lifting.' - Emerson Fitipaldi(dont remember the year)
'If Michael is scared of having open four wheels around the f1 car, then he should be driving GT cars not formula one' - Hans Stuck after MS declared that 4 open wheels are too dangerous- 2001. Also when one talks about someone being 'coward' its also the lack of moral strength to stand up against the 'right'. E.g. Jacques Villeneuve is one of the few drivers who openly talks about FIA attepmts to curb speed as nothing but 'political' while others keep quite. Its just brave of him to take a stand against the powerful FIA. Similarly he refused Michael's attempts to 'fix' the first two corners of Monza 2001, which was a brave decision. |

Who ever drives for Ferrari,Williams or an other team will obey team orders.. that is a pre-req in F1.. Ron Dennis can say, and almost certainly has in the past, that teams orders are not in place at the house of Mac..Bull*&^%
