It was interesting the gap the bulls pulled on BK before the stops. My eyes were not only on the race, I don't know who had tyres... I just saw the gap after missing a few laps.

I have not missed a race since the start of the '86 season but other things (and races) got in the way of watching yesterday.

Different leaders throughout the race due to varying pitstop strategies, the camaros struggled all day and in the end Matt Payne prevailed.

You "jest" but literally every time the results are not dominated by Ford, Ford fans make these complaints, yet instead of accepting that the competition is now so close, you win some & you lose some, they go directly to conspiracy territory but strangely have nothing to say when Ford is quite dominant.

I think in truth the cars ARE actually closer than they have ever been, and one team or teams can be better on any given day, and different cars and teams with different engineering solutions will result in some teams being strong tracks and weak at others.

Particularly of interest was 888 having the yips at a track where they have utterly dominated in the past.

I know I’m late but I sometimes catch up with the series after the fact. Just want to say this was easily the best weekend of racing of the year. Super 2s was cool with Perkins and BRT winning race 1 and a clean full green race 2. Saturday Supercars was by far the best rest of the year, so competitive close throughout comers and goers. Race 2 was more subdued but when you have 3 stop 2 stop and 3 stop as the podium you know it was at least intriguing. Great racing great event. Wish there was more discussion here.
