Driving the Route
After seeing the C4 coverage of the Monte, has anyone driven the route during normal times ?
I have a vision of hurling my 200sx round those hairpin bends. It will not be as fast, but I hope it will be fun !! Any hints ??? SL |

My brother & I went to the 2000 Rally Catalunya and during our reccies of the stages we planned to visit (to find parking spots etc) we were able to drive along parts of the stages before they were closed.
It was really interesting and gave a great perspective as to what the drivers actually do, so I'd thoroughly recommend you try it sometime but remember. 1. The WRC drivers are the best in the world 2. You're unlikely to be driving the route in a World Rally Car 3. You're going to get a bill if you crunch your car / hire car 4. Road cars don't handle the drops very well 5. On the WRC they don't need to contend with traffic coming the other way!! So you'll see how challenging the routes are at normal driving speeds, then imagine them at x2 / x3 the speed. Enjoy!!! |
