Changes to the route of Rally Oz
www.worldrallynews.com are reporting major changes in the route of this year's Rally Australia, including the dropping of the Langley Park superspecial.
Langley Park will be replaced by three stages at Gloucester Park Raceway. A single service area at Jarrahdale, 60km south of Perth, also means the end of stages round York and at Wellington Dam, along with a somewhat less compact route through Sotico Forest in the final leg. Another classic stage (albeit a superspecial) bites the dust |

Sad news, but it did not come out of the blue to me, as I had read this somewhere else a couple of months ago.

I wonder if the cost of putting the Langley Park track together was a factor (it must cost $000's to convert it from / back to the park for the rest of the year.
