Who is B A R reserve driver for 2002
I was under the impression that Anthony Davidson was the offical BAR reserve driver this year . At the begining of the season it was still Darren Manning , but once AD got enough miles under his belt in Testing , i thought is was announced that he was now the nominated driver .
Ive just had a email from Club Octagon inviting me to a event at Silverstone , which has Darren Manning as a speaker , and it says that he is the BAR reserve driver ???? can anyone shed some light on this one ? below is the article from Club Octagon . This is a not-to-be missed event for the Formula 1 fan. Come to the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on Sunday 28th April to watch the Spanish Grand Prix. Yes that's right see the Spanish Grand Prix at Silverstone and meet Darren Manning, BAR Honda's Formula 1 reserve and test driver. Members and their guests will then meet one of Britain's tipped-for-the-top drivers, Darren Manning, who is reserve and test driver for the BAR Honda Formula 1 team. He will share his F1 driving experiences and talk about what goes on behind the scenes. Throughout the afternoon, members and guests will be encouraged to ask questions and put their views on the race and F1 in general. The TV broadcast will be shown on huge 51" TV screens and the coverage will be enhanced during the breaks with the thoughts and views of Darren, who will be interviewed by Dermot Bambridge, formerly with the Goodyear Formula 1 team. |

I believe Ant is the official 'reserve' driver - that stuff from Octagon is probably there to hype it up a bit!

Davidson is the Official Reserve driver.
The likes of Fukuda, Lemarie, and Manning will continue to test for the team this year. |

Well, if they have a reserve driver, they really should bump him up so Panis has a proper team mate.

Does this make Fukada the reserve,reserve driver's first reserve then?
This must make Lemarie the reserve driver for the first reserve driver's, reserve driver..... |

if he's at silverstone during theGP he's hardly likely to be their first choice of reserve is he!
