Great news! One wonders if/how much they picking (technical data etc) from the defunct matech operation.

It seems a bit odd to be producing a new GTE version of the Ford GT, a card that is no longer in production!
But hadn't Matech said that they would produce a GT2 version after the ACO dropped GT1? Perhaps Lambda are just picking up that project. |

The proper translation would be King of Toilets or Toilet King... the owner of Lambda also owns two of the biggest German rent-a-loo/porta potty companies...

Apparently it is not a race car, but a 'normally' tuned Ford GT.

Lol I actually thought this might have something to do with the Robertsons when I saw the title. But great news, I was really looking forward to Matech's LMGT project last year and it would appear that there could still be some hope left. Even if the road car homologation is rather questionable.
Updated version of the GT1 doesn't make sense anymore thou, GT3 would do the same job for that BoP-series next year |

The car has been launched. It has a V8 5.8L Roush-Yates engine and bodywork by Argentine designer Enrique Scalabroni.

The car looks great, I'm a big fan. Hopefully, they'll be able to find at least a couple of customers to run it next year, and with any luck it will be more competitive than XKR or Evora

Looks like a proper race car, whatever it is!
I'm pleased. I have liked the Ford GT right from the first race. You do wonder how many chassis are actually out there. I know Matech had a LOT of assistance from Dearborne, but how many spare shells did Ford have to start with? |

Interestingly enough the bodywork resembles the Doran/Robertson version more than any of the Matech cars. PS: clever splitter design. From what I understand it must not protrude more thann X mm further than the nose/bumper of the car, in this case they've just made a huge undercut above the splitter. |
