andreww should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Regulations regarding age of seat?

In the same way belts have a 5 years "use by" date, is there any regulation on the age of the seat? Couldn't find anything about age in the blue book, does this mean it can be as old as you want? My seat was manufactured in 2003 so hoping I dont have to buy a new one for next year like I would have to buy new belts.

FIA seats are dated, therefore lifed too, but I don't think it applies domestically when running under MSA rules...

It is only for FIA events, there should be a label on the left of the seat side that has the dates punched out.

This is correct although if you have a big crash its advisable to change your seat. But dont forget if you go for an FIA meeting you will need to have an indate seat

The belts go without saying, its also worth remembering the mounting points as people do neglect to check the mounting points of both the seat and the belts after an impact you find that the area around the mountings may have cracked or weakened.
Get your seat on fle bay, there will be someone who will have it, even if its the banger people or maybe even a boy racer
