Peter Ford should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mcdonald's sponsoring a other car

Before McDonald's came on board as newman-haas\langian main sponsor,they sponsored a other champcar team driven be tony kanaan,i remember seing this car while watching the surfer's paradise race on tv.Can anyone tell me do the team was and what year as well.

That was 1999; the car was a third entry from Forsythe Racing. Kanaan won the 1999 U.S. 500 in that car.

It was basically the old Tasman racing team, bought out and ran as a seperate operationg within the Forsythe umbrella. The team ran (largely unsponsored) as Forsythe Championship Racing in 2001, with Bryan Herta at the wheel - he also did a one-off for them at Laguna Seca in 2000.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't the team called Zakspeed/Forsythe in 2001 ?
