Eligibility of Formula Vauxhall JNR - Mono 1800 only?
Am I right in that the only series these cars can run in is Mono 1800?
I looked at formula 4 regs and they dont mention Formula Vauxhall JNR's... if anyone knows of other series they can be used in? |

I answered this in the F4 Snetterton thread but I guess that its off topic there. As a result, I'll repeat it here:
It depends on which version of the FVJ you are talking about. The original 8 Valve version has raced in F4 invitation class but will not be competitive. It is better off in Mono 1600 where there are a couple racing already against FF 1600s. The 16 Valve Mk2 version has also raced in the invitation class of F4 - I raced a 16 Valve version a few times in the invitation class about 3 years ago. Should be competitive against a FF Zetec - similar power to weight and tyres. For the same reason, the 16 Valve version is also competive in Mono 1800 where i mostly used to race mine and there are couple of others out. The competition there comes from FF Zetecs and FF 2000 (Pinto) cars. Which version do you have? |
